The Role:

The Head of Resiliency Continuity role is the senior leader responsible to ensure that the organization’s infrastructure, technology, and operational processes are resilient, adaptable, and aligned with global best practices and regulatory requirements.

Reporting to the Chief Resiliency Officer, the role interfaces closely with, and provides influence to, senior and executive leadership at corporate, regional and business unit levels across all legal entities.

Job Location: Bangalore or Mumbai.

Responsibilities of the role:

  1. Responsible for oversight of overall Business Continuity program, thereby monitor, report/escalate the adoption of the program and its associated continuity risks to the Top Management and the Board.
  2. Establish and maintain an effective and global regulator approved continuity program policy, standards, guidelines and associated tools to ensure we can recover from the critical and unplanned events.
  3. Frame a strong crisis management program across different time-zones, by collaborating with the team along with routine testing via simulation or table top exercises across local, regional and global levels by providing training and relevant tools.
  4. Provide strategic guidance for corporate continuity and resilience across global programs to ensure consistency, in-line with internal business strategy, corporate goals and budget and client needs.
  5. Work in tandem with technology, cyber and business resiliency workstreams to address associated risks.  
  6. Chair the governance body overseeing enterprise business continuity and report readiness and risks to appropriate executive and board committees as needed, e.g. operational risk committee of the board.
  7. Participate and present at governance committees and represent the organization on industry bodies and at regulatory driven meetings. Act as the delegate to the chief resiliency officer, as needed.

Skills required:

  1. 20+ years of financial services experience with extensive, in-depth, relevant experience and ability to lead and influence global teams.
  2. Expertise in leading crisis management efforts and incident response for high-impact events, ensuring the swift recovery of critical operations across IT, risk management, operations, security, and business units.
  3. In-depth knowledge of relevant global regulations along with ability to influence and drive alignment across diverse teams and stakeholders, both internal and external
  4. Detailed understanding of non-financial risk frameworks. Experience of working in a client centric organization, carrying material payments and settlements risk.
  5. Adept in presenting to senior executive stakeholder and relevant committees and working with external auditors, regulators, and industry bodies.
